Commonly asked questions

Why are ceramic coatings so expensive? The price for a ceramic coating can vary drastically depending on numerous factors, but in general, the price includes all the materials needed to perform the tasks and the time it takes to complete the entire process. This process can take a minimum of 6 hours and can vary up to 16 hours or more, depending on the level of paint correction that is requested and size of the vehicle. Lastly, because the ceramic coatings are specific to your needs and will be registered on your car fax account, once opened and used for installation any left over product is non reusable to guarantee the quality of the coating.

What is paint correction? Over time your vehicle’s paint becomes oxidized and suffers from micro scratching due to improper washing and exposure to the elements either from driving your vehicle or parking your car in un protected areas for prolonged periods of time. In order to fix these issues a paint correction IS NEEDED. A paint correction will eliminate the majority, if not all the swirl marks and other imperfections left on the paint and can restore your vehicles glossy appearance.

Can I ceramic coat Matte finish vehicles? Yes, you can! System X offers a Ceramic coating for Matte finishes that won’t add any gloss to your paint finish.

Can I polish a Matte vehicle? Sadly, no. Polishing a matte vehicle will ruin it’s finish. In order to mitigate damage, it is highly important to protect your matte vehicle before it sustains any damage over time and use.
